  1. Waiting for the review! I was wondering: is this something like a harem? Or do the girls have more cute interactions? That short-haired girl with an eye covered seems like it could do well for an adorable father-daughter relationship with the yakuza (I like those relationships a lot!), so I was wondering if it was like that or if it was just a shitty harem with all the girls that appear in the cover. Is there too much fanservice? Thank you!

    1. I meant to initially reply to your comment and missed the button. But I put in some information for you on this story :)

  2. Not a harem anime/manga/novel. Maou-sama see's Aku (the girl your describing) as a daughter. She teases him once calling him papa and he freaks out saying he's still a young bachelor. But he even admits later in the series that he see's Aku like a daughter now adays. His subordinates in later chapters have inner monologues about Aku while the MC isn't there. It always stresses the importance of making sure Aku is protected at all costs, going so far as saying, “everyone else in the village including myself could die, but she must not be injured.” this wasn't an order given by the MC. This was just intuitively picked up by his subordinates and how he treats Aku. Tron is another girl that ends up with them as well, someone else that the MC see's as somewhat of a daughter, but he mostly keeps her around for the sake of Aku as a friend/guardian. One of his subordinates privately refers to both of them as Princesses aka daughters of the demon lord. The Holy Maiden who is with him all of the time is completely infatuated with the Demon Lord, but he see's her as a funny brat but eventually tells her, “I'll think about it when you grow up into a fine woman”. Yuu his other subordinate also Loves the MC, but in a different way from the rest, it's more of reverence than love I think. Angel White, the final piece is probably the only one in the entire series that could possibly be a love interest to him right now. But he still see's her somewhat of a child and wishes she'd step up to the plate and fulfill her role of leading the country instead of allowing the corruption to spread like it has. SO no harem :p

    1. Thanks for the comment! I’ll give it a reluctant chance, then, haha. Is the anime as good? Might start with that to test waters, but if it’s not faithful…
