Though this site focuses more on light novel news for English-speaking regions, a recent release in Japan should be of interest to those who enjoy import games. Dengeki Bunko, a Japanese publisher of many popular light novel franchises, has collaborated with Sega to create an arcade fighting game featuring many characters from various light novels (along with a few guest stars from Sega games). This game is titled Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, and has recently received a release for the PS Vita and Playstation 3. Both systems are region-free, so it is easy to buy this game online and play it wherever you may live.
For a full character roster, the Wikipedia article for the game has a nice chart.

First Impressions: I played the game at an arcade a couple times a while back, and felt it was rather fun. I liked to make Shizuo repeatedly throw vending machines at people, at least. :> I’m not an expert on these sorts of games though, so if you’re a 2D fighting aficionado I suggest looking for reviews online (or watch some videos).
Personally I’m a bigger fan of some of the “assist” characters than the playable ones, but the idea of a video game with the likes of Kino, Boogiepop, and Maou-sama fascinates me nonetheless. If I pick up the game I’ll be sure to write up another post for it some day.
