Here’s a look at the light novel releases for this month:

*Note: At the moment I am not seeing all the ebook versions available for Pandora Hearts v2 or Kagerou Daze v2, though the ebook editions of their first volumes are still there. The ebook versions for Strike the Blood v1 appear available, however.

Rising of the Shield Hero volume 1 Synopsis:
Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic Otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield. Now, Naofumi must rise to become the legendary Shield Hero and save the world!

Kagerou Daze volume 2 Synopsis:
Takane Enomoto has a secret. Her life is pretty weird. She attends high school with only one other student in her class and has a teacher who takes “underachievement” to exciting new heights–and neither of the know the truth about her double life as a legendary gamer. Somehow, these three misfits are going to have to put on a show for the school festival. But how does that connect to Takane’s secret? And more importantly, how does that secret connect to the Mekakushi-dan? And come to think of it, how did Shintaro and the rest of the Mekakushi-dan’s trip to the amusement park finally play out? Find out as multimedia creator Jin’s blockbuster novel series hurtles into its second volume!

Pandora Hearts: Caucus Race volume 2 Synopsis:
Gaze down into the sunny garden from the veranda.
There, children run to and fro, full of life.
Two cats chase after them.
The sight calls to mind a single thought:
They seem to be racing each other.
A caucus race.

A race with no end.
If only this charming sight could
Continue on tomorrow and ever after…

Strike the Blood volume 1 Synopsis:
He never asked for this power. Kojou Akatsuki used to be an ordinary high school boy–but that wasbefore he became the Fourth Primogenitor, the most powerful vampire of all time. Worse–he doesn’t even remember how it happened. Middle schooler Yukina Himeragi, meanwhile, is the Attack Mage sent to observe him–and to stop him if he gets out of control. But was it really a good idea to send a cute girl to observe a massively powerful vampire boy whose abilities activate whenever he gets aroused? And on an artificial island populated with all manner of demonic individuals, each with their own designs on the Fourth Primogenitor–?!

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories omnibus Synopsis:
Sora, Donald, and Goofy have defeated Ansem and restored the world. But beyond the dark door–a door that had to be closed–Riku and King Mickey remain. And so the trio sets off again on a journey to find Riku and the king. As they progress through Castle Oblivion and encounter agents from the mysterious Organization XIII on the way, Sora and his friends begin losing their memories. What does it mean to hold something dear? And in the end, what path will Sora choose?

Attack on Titan: The Harsh Mistress of the City volume 1 Synopsis:
Shinganshina has been breached, and humanity has retreated to Wall Rose-for the most part. Quintra District, situated at the western end of Wall Maria, is holding out despite being hemmed in by the Titans on both the exterior and the formerly interior sides. In this concluding half of this side story, Rita Iglehaut, acting commander of the local forces, struggles to turn her isolated hometown into something of a city of its own. Her draconian methods, however, shock the residents, not least Mathias Kramer, her childhood friend.

  1. Wow its hard posting mobile though i was posting on this and not the strike the blood page. But amzn is doing Shield hero v2 this month on the sept 28

    1. Yes, it seems the Shield Hero novels have been coming out sooner than their release dates have indicated. (A lot of people were getting volume 1 in August.) Thanks for sharing! It looks like people who order off Amazon will likely get volume 2 at the end of this month, rather than the middle of October.
