Seven Seas Entertainment is excited to announce, through its Airship light novel imprint, the license acquisition of the moving science fiction series Vivy prototype by Tappei Nagatsuki, Eiji Umehara, and loundraw. Originally penned as a collaborative “concept novel†before production of the popular anime Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- (available streaming through Funimation), don't miss this rich tale of an AI songstress and her 100-year mission to save humanity–from the writers of Re:ZERO and Chaos;Child!
Vivy, the world's first autonomous AI, sings to bring joy to her audience as a cast member of NiaLand, Japan's largest theme park. In this world, AIs have become integral to human life and exist to carry out their missions. One day, out of the blue, an AI claiming to be from the future approaches her, revealing that in one hundred years, advanced AIs will turn on the humans they once served, sparking a violent war to annihilate humankind! When he asks for her help in preventing the conflict, Vivy agrees to ditch the stage and take up the century-long mission against her kind in order to save humanity.
There are 4 volumes released in Japan. The related anime had 13 episodes and ran April 3, 2021 to June 19, 2021.

Seven Seas will publish the series Vivy prototype (Light Novel) for the first time in North America in print and (early) on digital platforms in single large-trim editions. Volume 1 will be released in print in August 2022 for $14.99 USA / $18.99 CAN as part of Seven Seas' Airship imprint.
