  1. “Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic Otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe!”

I’ve seen enough light novels to know where this is going :P

    1. Yes, this sort of premise has been done at least once or twice! ;P It certainly seems to have its fans though, so I imagine it could be fun.

  2. “Typical gamer otaku…” “Pulled into the land/can’t log out of land…” And I bet there will be tons of “buxom” women appearing out of nowhere to attach onto this “loser otaku”.
Can we get a NEW story, maybe not one focused to the male audience?
The story itself reads to me as a, what if Eric the Cavalier from the D&D TV show wrote a story about his life when he got back to Earth.

    1. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Not really no, he’s branded a criminal and hated by all yet they still make him work to save the world~ He doesn’t have much of a harem either in the webnovel. He is a isn’t that much of a “loser” otaku and his otaku-ness personality changes rapidly. His “buxom” women, one, has proper lead-up and reason as does his other “women/girls” that are fond of him (I say fond as they aren’t really in love, lest in teh webnovel). They don’t outright go blushing and crap and go gaga over him or anything. Don’t have time for that since they are trying to prevent the destruction of the whole world~ its pretty down to earth and well developed.

~Can’t w8 for the book to come out~
      ┬──┬ ノ( ゜-゜ノ)
      p.s. hope i didn’t spoil anything o.O if i did, ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌

      1. Yep I can totally agree with you. He’s more of a anit-hero/protagonist who has a perfect personality for me, not annoying or gullible(except the beginning :). And overall, does not treat any of the females as a lovers but a family which really speaks volume for me.

  3. Oh god, I love the story of the Shield Hero. Since I’ve only read the Web Novel so far, I really hope the LN can become a new addiction. They release 2 volumes in two months, how are they going to keep this up, I wonder.
