When his hunt is interrupted by Euphemia’s attackers, he saves her on a whim. Never expecting to see Euphemia again, he’s shocked to receive a job protecting the spunky researcher who just might be his lifelong mate. Follow Euphemia and Zelaide as they navigate a colony world brimming with peculiar beasts, powerful narcotics, dangerous criminals, and a budding, interspecies romance!

One response to “Beast † Blood

  1. I was honestly taken aback by how dark this one was. The heroine was nearly sexually assaulted, there’s some creepy guy who pays gangs to target women to assault them and then feed to monsters for his entertainment, etc. but none of it felt like it was there just to be a plot point. I liked a lot of things about this one, mainly the atmosphere and writing. The romance can sometimes smother a lot of the plot but it was so different from the majority of light novels/web novels I’ve read that I was immediately sucked into the story. It feels more like a gritty urban sci-fi romance and I’m really glad that it didn’t hold itself back from talking about some really messed up things. Some may not like it and that’s understandable but I was pretty entertained by it.
